You Have a Choice When it Comes to Your Deck

Natural Lumber Options:

  • Treated Southern Yellow Pine
  • Western Red Cedar
  • Cypress​
  • Redwood

While there are a few options here, material cost pretty much dictates what most decks are built out of. 
The cost of treated pine is high enough as it is. But every other option on that list takes a huge jump in price. The others are 2x's or more higher than treated pine.
Composites or "Man Made Timbers"

  • Trex
  • Azek

There are many, many different brands of composite materials on the market today. And most of those brands have different "series" within their brand, all of which have different qualities.
After years of using several of the brands out there, and years of (continuing) research into each one - including reading current reviews from other deck builders across the country - we have listed the only two brands we are willing to work with.
The quality and characteristics of Trex & Azek, and their middle-of-the-road price, are what have lead us to this decision. However, if you are dead set on using a certain brand then we are happy to discuss that with you and work something out. After all, this is YOUR deck we're talking about.
